TILLY & BILLY

They lived at a pub. When the lease ran out we were asked if we could board them for a month or two; the first weeks board money was handed over.

Money must go along way in Derbyshire because we haven’t seen their owners, or any board money, for well over a year now!

MARY MURPHY (foreground)

& son DOC LEAF

Both Mary Murphy and her son Doc Leaf came into the Sanctuary with other members of their family.  Mary's daughters (Emma and Sophie-Alice - who had a son Blue).

We have a number of residents who are in a family of four or more which makes it difficult to re-home as we would never wish to separate them.

BUNNY

Bunny came into us with a broken leg that was beyond repair.  She’s a tough cookie and was out grazing hours after her operation.  She had been hopping around on 3 legs for so long there was nothing to get used to other than feeling a little lighter.

However we do have to watch Bunny's weight as she is a bit of a gannet.  Surprisingly she is one of the highest ranking goats in her herd; disability it seems, opens doors in the goat world and she always has many admirers (both male and female) and the resident cow, Monica Reed, gives Bunny a TOTAL, body wash regularly. She is literally soaking wet at the end.  We have never seen Monica do this to any other goat here.
